Vesilute
from €29.60 to €64
Minimum order 2 vials or 2 pens — delivery in 2 weeks
Trade name for the peptide KED (Lys-Glu-Asp) — the same bioregulator tripeptide as Vesugen, in a cosmetic/skin presentation.
SNAP-8
Minimum order 2 vials or 2 pens — delivery in 2 weeks
The peptide that mimics how botulinum toxin works — same mechanism, much lower potency. Its real problem isn't whether it works, but whether it gets through the skin.
Illustrations of the product — not photos of a specific batch.
SNAP-8 is a cosmetic ingredient for topical use, not an injectable — the extended version of an older peptide, argireline.
The mechanism: it blocks formation of the SNARE complex needed for neurotransmitter release at the nerve ending — similar logic to botulinum toxin, but with much lower potency 1.
The published data concern argireline, the shorter parent molecule. A 10% emulsion reduced wrinkle depth by up to 30% in 30 days 1, and a later paper reported up to 48% in four weeks 2.
The problem that rarely gets mentioned: penetration through the skin is poor, due to the molecule's size and zwitterionic charge 2. The question isn't whether it works, but whether it gets where it needs to go.
No oral toxicity, no primary irritation, even at high doses 1.
Goes into the water phase, at low temperature. The powder is hygroscopic — sealed, dry, cold. For research/cosmetic use.
Straight talk first: SNAP-8 is for a cream, not a needle. A topical ingredient, extended argireline.
Clean mechanism: it blocks the SNARE complex, the same spot botulinum toxin hits — but with much lower potency 1. Realistic expectations from the start.
Numbers from argireline, its parent: a 10% emulsion gave up to a 30% reduction in wrinkle depth in 30 days 1, and in another study up to 48% in four weeks 2.
The problem nobody mentions: poor skin penetration, due to the molecule's size and charge 2. It's not about whether it works — it's about whether it gets there.
No oral toxicity, no irritation in testing, even at high doses 1.
Goes into the water phase, at low temperature. The powder is hygroscopic — sealed, dry, cold.
A cosmetic ingredient, not an injectable. Let's say that first.
SNAP-8 is meant for topical use, in a cream or serum. It's the extended version of an older peptide, argireline, and all the published data that follow concern argireline — the shorter molecule it came from.
The mechanism — and it's elegant. Botulinum toxin blocks neurotransmitter release at the nerve ending. Argireline was rationally designed to do the same thing in the same way: by interfering with the formation of the SNARE complex needed for exocytosis 1. And it pulled it off — with potency similar to toxin A but, as the authors themselves write, with much lower efficacy 1.
The numbers. An emulsion with 10% of the peptide, in healthy female volunteers: wrinkle depth reduced by up to 30% at 30 days 1. A later paper reports efficacy of up to 48% in four weeks with twice-daily application 2. And no oral toxicity, no primary irritation, even at high doses 1.
And now the problem no ad mentions. The peptide's penetration through the skin is poor — because of its high molecular weight and hydrophilicity, and because the molecule exists in zwitterionic form, and that very charge blocks its passage 2. In other words: the molecule knows what to do; the question is whether it ever gets to where it needs to do it.
That's exactly why the next generation of research isn't looking for a stronger peptide but for chemical modification for better penetration 2. It's a delivery problem, not a pharmacology problem — and it's the real question behind every cosmetic like this.
Both studies concern argireline (a hexapeptide). SNAP-8 is its extended analogue — a related molecule, not the same one.
